Privacy & Cookie Policy

Introduction
Computer Highway (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides managed IT support and related services to businesses, schools, charities and home users across Ealing and West London. Computer Highway is a trading name of Computer Highway Limited, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 10569814). This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and when you contact us, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have over your data. It also explains how we use cookies on computer-highway.com.
What Information We Collect
We collect information you give us directly, such as your name, email address, telephone number, company name and the details of any IT issue you describe, when you submit a contact or quote request form, call us, or email us. If you become a client, we also hold information relating to the services we provide, including device details, invoices and support records. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13 through this website.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, deliver and invoice for IT support services, and keep records required for accounting and legal compliance. We may also use your contact details to follow up on an enquiry or, where you have agreed to it, to let you know about relevant services. We do not use your information for any purpose incompatible with these.
Cookies
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. When you first visit, a cookie banner asks for your choice and remembers it using small, strictly necessary cookies (their names begin with cmplz_, and they last up to 12 months), so we don’t ask again on every page. Strictly necessary cookies don’t require consent under UK law.
The map on our Contact page is provided by Google Maps, which may set its own cookies. The map only loads if you agree to it, either by clicking “I agree” on the map or by accepting cookies in the banner.
Our contact and quote forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. It processes limited technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, to check that a submission comes from a person rather than a bot, which is necessary to keep the forms secure.
Fonts on this website are self-hosted, so visiting the site doesn’t send any requests to a third-party font provider.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie Settings link at the bottom of every page. If we introduce analytics or other non-essential cookies in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before setting them.
Third Parties & Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with trusted third parties who help us operate our business, such as IT tools we use to manage support tickets, invoicing and email, and remote-support software used to deliver PAYG, Personal and Business IT Support. We also use Google Maps to show our location on the Contact page, and Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our forms from spam. These providers only process data on our instructions and are required to keep it secure. We may also disclose information where required by law, for example to comply with a legal obligation or protect our rights, or as part of a sale or transfer of all or part of our business, in which case we’d take reasonable steps to ensure the new owner continues to protect your data under this policy.
Links to Other Websites
This website and our communications may contain links to other websites, for example the payment or remote-support tools we use, or resources we reference in our Insights articles. We’re not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external sites, and we’d recommend reviewing their own privacy policy before sharing any information with them.
Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal information we hold, including access controls and secure storage of client records. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so while we work to protect your information we can’t guarantee its absolute security.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Enquiry details from visitors who do not go on to become clients are retained for a limited period and then deleted or anonymised. Client and financial records are retained for the period required by UK law.
Your Rights Under UK GDPR
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct inaccurate information, to ask us to delete or restrict the information we hold in certain circumstances, to object to certain types of processing, and to ask for your data to be provided to you or another organisation in a portable format. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you believe we have not handled your information properly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services, the information we collect, or legal requirements. The current version is always published on this page; where a change is significant, we’ll highlight it here rather than relying on you checking back.
